Manual Activation, High-Density NdFeB Grid
Series Overview: Wireless Power
The PMC Series is our flagship “Super Permanent” magnetic chuck.
Suitable for workshops that demand high holding power without the need for electrical controllers or cables.
It features a high-energy Neodymium (NdFeB) magnetic circuit.
This chuck provides exceptional clamping force in a completely self-contained unit.
Mechanism & Operation
Unlike our EP series, the PMC requires no electricity.
It is activated and deactivated via a detachable hex-key handle.
Rotating the handle shifts the internal magnetic grid, instantly clamping the workpiece.
This makes the PMC series 100% portable and easily transferrable between different machines.
Key Performance Features
High-Density Grid:
The surface features a fine grid pattern with a high count of magnetic points (up to 800+ magnetic points on large models).
This creates a dense, uniform magnetic field ideal for holding both small and large components.
Safety & Stability:
Once switched “ON,” the magnetic force is permanent.
It will never lose grip due to power failure or cut cables.
Sealed Construction:
The unit is fully sealed against coolant, oil, and metal chips.
Ensure a long service life in harsh milling environments.
Why choose this over the Electro-Permanent?
1. The “Pallet Pool” Advantage
The PMC Series has no power cords.
It is the number one choice for Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) with pallet changers.
You can load and clamp your part at the loading station, remove the handle.
And the pallet can rotate freely into the machine.
You don’t have to worry about cable management or slip-rings.
2. Superior for Thinner/Smaller Parts
Looking at the technical table, you will see a high number of “Magnetizers” (Magnetic Points).
And with a lower force per point (20kgf) compared to the EP series (380kgf+).
What this means for you:
This High-Density/Fine-Pole configuration is actually better for thinner plates and smaller complex parts.
The magnetic field is concentrated near the surface.
Allow it to grip thin steel plates strongly.
And does not have the magnetic flux “leaking” through the part and magnetizing your cutting tool.
3. True Portability
It doesn’t need a controller.
This chuck acts like a fixture plate.
You can use it on a milling machine in the morning.
Move it to a surface grinder in the afternoon.
And move it to a generic workbench for assembly in the evening.
Standard Supply Package
1). PMC Magnetic Chuck: Heavy-duty steel block construction.
2). Activation Handle: Heavy-duty Hex/Allen key handle for switching the unit On/Off.
3). Stop Blocks: Standard side and back rails to assist with part positioning.
Comparison: When to use PMC vs. EP?
Choose PMC (This Model) If:
You have pallet changers, need to move the chuck between machines frequently.
Or machining thinner precision parts.
Choose EP (Electro-Permanent) If:
You are doing full automation (robot loading), machining very large/rough slabs.
Or, you want to eliminate the manual effort of turning the handle.
