Electronically Controlled Permanent Magnet for Lifting

Prevent dangerous accidents: The secure hold remains even during total power failures.

Reduce manual labor costs: One operator lifts loads without a rigging ground crew.

Speed up material handling: Replace slow chains and slings with instant magnetic gripping.

Maximize warehouse space: Stack plates tightly without leaving gaps for chains or straps.

Handle various stock sizes: The system grips both thin sheets and thick slabs effectively.

Description

EPM Series For Steel Plate & Billet Handling

The EPM Lifting Series is an industrial-grade material handling solution.
Suitable for replacing dangerous hooks, chains, and slings.

They are built for steel mills, shipyards, and heavy fabrication shops.
These magnetic modules allow for the rapid, automated moving of large steel plates and blocks.

How it Works

This system uses Electro-Permanent technology.
A brief electrical pulse (approx. 1 second) directs the magnetic flux into the load to pick it up.

A second pulse reverses the flux to release it.
During the actual lift and transport, the magnet is “Off the Grid”.
It consumes no power and relies entirely on high-energy permanent magnets.

Key Safety & Efficiency Features

100% Drop-Proof Safety:

The magnet does not rely on a battery or mains power to hold the load.
A power failure will never cause the load to drop.
The holding force is permanent until the operator intentionally sends the “Release” signal.

Variable Plate Thickness:

The magnetic circuit is designed to handle a wide range of steel thicknesses.
From thin sheets (which are notoriously difficult to lift) to thick slabs.

Single-Operator Workflow:

Allows a single crane operator to pick up, move.
And place massive steel loads without needing a ground crew to rig chains or straps.
You can significantly reduce labor costs and injury risk.

Application Scenarios

Loading/Unloading: Moving raw steel from trucks to storage.
Machine Loading: Placing large plates onto CNC Plasma/Laser cutting tables (Gantry systems).
Steel Warehousing: High-density stacking of steel plates (no gaps needed for chains).

Customization Note:

These systems are typically modular.

We can configure Spreader Beams with multiple magnet modules (e.g., 2, 4, 8, or more modules).
Match the length and weight of your specific steel plates.
