Description

24k Gold Finish, 6-Sided Conductivity, Jewelry-Quality Polish

We manufacture Custom Neodymium Cubes finished with a premium 24k Gold Plating.

Standard silver (Nickel) magnets look industrial.
Gold Plated cubes are designed to be seen.
They offer a brilliant, non-tarnishing yellow-gold finish.
This appearance matches standard jewelry hardware and gold-plated PCB contacts.

These magnets are the preferred choice for:
Magnetic Jewelry Clasps, Modular Electronic Blocks, and Executive Desk Accessories.
Their visual appeal and skin safety are paramount.

Why Gold Cubes?

A gold cube is more than just a shiny object; it is a functional component.

1. Omni-Directional Conductivity:

The Application:
Modular electronics or “Snap-Together” circuitry.

The Logic:
A cube has 6 faces.
In a circuit design, a Gold Plated cube acts as a 3D Electrical Node.
It can transmit power or data signals through any of its faces with low contact resistance.
Unlike Nickel which oxidizes over time.

2. Biocompatibility (The “No-Rash” Guarantee):

The Application:
Jewelry and Wearables.

The Problem:
Standard Nickel magnets contain Nickel.
Some people are allergic to Nickel.
Prolonged skin contact causes dermatitis.

The Solution:
Gold is hypoallergenic.
Coating the magnet in Gold makes it safe for necklaces, bracelets, and hearing aids that touch the user’s skin.

3. Corrosion Resistance (Sweat Proof):

The Benefit:
Gold is a noble metal.
It does not tarnish when exposed to human sweat, perfumes, or humidity.
Ensure the magnet keeps its high-value look for years.

Manufacturing Focus: Corner Integrity

Plating a cube is harder than plating a disc.
The corners are the weak point.

The “Dog-Bone” Effect:

The Physics:
During the electro-plating process, electrical current concentrates at sharp points.
On a cube, this means the Gold builds up on the 8 corners (making them bulge).
And the plated gold is thin in the middle of the flat faces.

Our Solution:
We apply a Heavy Barrel Tumble to the raw magnets before plating.
This rounds off the sharp corners significantly.

The Result:
A smooth, uniform Gold layer that adheres perfectly to the corners.
And not chipping or flaking during impact.

Ideal Applications

Magnetic Jewelry: Clasps for necklaces and bracelets (replacing difficult mechanical lobsters).
Modular Electronics: “Pogo-less” magnetic connectors for charging docks.
Medical Devices: Implantable device chargers (external mating part).
Luxury Packaging: Gold closures for premium perfume or watch boxes.

Safety Advisory: Not for Children

Due to their shape and color, Gold Cubes can look like toys.

B2B Only:
We supply these magnets for Industrial and Commercial manufacturing only.

Swallowing Hazard:
High-powered Neodymium cubes are extremely dangerous if swallowed.
They are strictly regulated in many regions (such as the USA/CPSC).
They must not be marketed or used in children’s toys.

Ordering Guide

To quote these accurately, please specify:

1). Dimensions: Side Length (e.g., 3mm, 5mm, 10mm).
2). Magnetic Grade:
– N35: Sufficient for most jewelry (easier to pull apart).
– N50/N52: Required for heavy electrical connections.

3). Visual Standard: “Is this for a cosmetic surface?”
– We can perform extra visual sorting to remove minor pits/scratches.

4). Quantity: Gold plating baths require minimum batch sizes for efficiency.
