Our drum separators feature a rotating stainless steel shell around a stationary internal magnet arc (180ยฐ).

As material flows over the drum, ferrous contaminants will be:

– Carried over the top
– And discharged into a separate waste chute

Engineering & Manufacturing Capabilities

Stationary Magnet / Rotating Shell:

The internal magnetic element remains fixed.
Typically covering a 135ยฐ to 180ยฐ arc.
Meanwhile, the outer shell rotates.

This ensures the magnetic field is always focused on the product stream, maximizing efficiency.

Dust-Tight Housing:

Some applications involve fine powders (sugar, flour, chemicals).
We manufacture fully enclosed, dust-tight housings in Stainless Steel 304/316 or Mild Steel.

These housings feature flanged inlet/outlet ports.
They feature seamless integration into your ductwork.
Prevent product loss and airborne dust.

Precision Splitter Gate:

The boundary between “Clean Product” and “Rejected Iron” is thin.

We integrate an adjustable splitter gate (diverter flap).
It allows operators to fine-tune the separation trajectory.
Ensure minimal product loss while maximizing iron recovery.

A. Magnetic Circuit Options

Ferrite (Ceramic) Assembly:
Deep-reach magnetic circuits for removing large tramp iron from recycling streams or animal feed.
Examples include nails, bolts, washers.

Rare Earth (Neodymium) Assembly:
High-gradient circuits (up to 12,000 Gauss) for removing:
– Fine ferrous dust
– Weakly magnetic oxides
– Work-hardened stainless steel from food and pharma products.

Hybrid Circuits:
Alternating poles of Ferrite and Neo to agitate the material (“flip-flop” effect)
Shake loose entrapped product from the iron.

B. Wear Protection (Abrasive Materials)

Standard:
SS304 Shell with transverse cleats (to help carry iron out).

Heavy Duty:
Manganese Steel or Ceramic-Lined Shells for processing abrasive aggregates, sand.
Or crushed glass where standard stainless would wear through.

Rubber Lining:
For noise reduction and impact absorption in larger recycling drums.

C. Feed & Drive Integration

Vibratory Feeder Interface:
A drum works best with a uniform “curtain” of material.
We can integrate a vibratory feeder tray directly onto the housing inlet.
Spread the material evenly across the full width of the drum.

Drive Systems:
Direct shaft-mounted gearmotors (SEW/Nord).
Or chain-and-sprocket drives, fully guarded for safety.
