Venturi-Powered Workholding for Non-Ferrous & Non-Magnetic Parts
The VC Series is designed to hold everything a magnetic chuck cannot.
No matter you are machining Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Plastic, Glass.
Or, Graphite, this vacuum system provides a rigid, distortion-free hold.
Venturi Technology (No Vacuum Pump Needed)
Traditional vacuum systems require expensive, maintenance-heavy external pumps.
The VC Series features an integrated Venturi Ejector.
How it works:
Simply connect your standard shop air compressor (0.6 MPa / 90 PSI) to the intake.
The internal mechanism converts the compressed air flow into a powerful vacuum suction.
Benefit:
This reduces noise, eliminates the need for electric pumps, and simplifies your shop setup.
Key Features
Grid & Gasket System:
The faceplate features a precision grid pattern.
Route the rubber gasket cord (sealing strip) into the grooves.
You can create a custom suction zone.
It perfectly matches the shape of your workpiece, minimizing air loss.
Wet & Dry Machining:
Engineered to handle the harsh environment of CNC machining.
The system automatically expels any coolant.
Or cutting oil that gets sucked into the vacuum lines.
Prevent internal clogging or damage.
Integrated Monitoring:
Features a built-in Vacuum Pressure Gauge.
The operator can visually verify the holding pressure before cutting begins.
Pro-Tips
1. The “Friction” Factor
Vacuum provides incredible downward force.
But it does not provide as much side-to-side friction as a magnet.
Usage Tip:
Always utilize the provided Locating Pins (Stop Pins).
The vacuum pulls the part down to create the seal.
But the pins physically stop the part from sliding under heavy milling loads.
2. Perfect for Thin Plates
Vacuum workholding is the industry standard for machining thin plates.
E.g., aircraft panels or thin aluminum sheets.
Vacuum pulls the entire surface area down evenly.
This eliminates vibration and ensures the part comes out perfectly flat.
And avoid the “bowing” caused by side-clamping.
3. Setup Simplicity
This uses an 8mm pneumatic tube connection.
You can set this chuck up on your machine table in minutes.
It is an excellent “secondary” chuck to keep on the shelf.
Especially for when non-steel jobs come through the door.
