Series Overview: The Heavy-Duty Options
The EP75 Series is suitable for maximum holding power on medium-to-large workpieces.
It features a robust 75ร75 mm magnetic pole grid.
And this system generates a deep, penetrating magnetic field.
Ideal for heavy milling, face milling, and aggressive stock removal.
Each pole can offer a clamping force of 750 kgf (nearly double that of the EP50 series).
The EP75 is the preferred choice for applications whose rigidity and safety are paramount.
For example, machining mold bases, engine blocks, and thick steel plates.
Key Technical Advantages
Deep Magnetic Flux:
The larger 75 mm poles project the magnetic field deeper into the workpiece.
This makes it perfect for rough, uneven stock and thicker plates (minimum 18 mm thickness).
Superior Air Gap Handling:
This series is exceptionally forgiving of “air gaps.”
It can securely hold workpieces with rough surfaces better than finer-pole chucks.
Such as casting scale, rust, or un-machined faces.
Massive Holding Power:
A setup that uses just 4 poles can generate up to 3 tons of holding force.
Ensures the workpiece remains immovable even under high cutting loads.
Ideal Applications
– Heavy-duty CNC Milling and Gantry Machining.
– Machining of rough castings and forgings.
– Workpieces with a minimum size of 400ร400 mm and minimum thickness of 18 mm.
Expert Insights
1. The “Thickness” Factor
Why is the minimum thickness 18 mm?
Because the EP75โs magnetic field is powerful and deep.
If the plate is thinner than 18 mm, the magnetic flux may pass all the way through the material.
It will still hold, but maximum efficiency is achieved on plates 18 mm and thicker.
Then it ensuring you use the full 750 kgf/pole.
2. Custom Shapes & Vertical Lathes (VTL)
Our standard inventory consists of rectangular blocks for milling centers.
Meanwhile, the EP75 technology is fully adaptable for Vertical Turning Lathes.
We can manufacture Circular (Round) Magnetic Chucks upon request.
These custom units allow for the high-speed turning of large rings, flanges, and bearings.
And won’t lead to the distortion caused by jaw chucks.
3. Safety with Small Parts
Due to the large pole size, small workpieces (smaller than 400ร400 mm) may not cover enough magnetic poles.
So not able to ensure a safe hold during heavy cutting.
For smaller, intricate parts, we recommend looking at our EP50 Series.
Standard Supply Package
1). EP75 Magnetic Chuck: Heavy-duty construction with full IP67 waterproof/oil-proof protection.
2). Controller Unit: Advanced Electro-Permanent controller with interlock safety features.
3). Remote Control: For easy operator access.
4). Cabling: 3-meter heavy-duty power and signal cables (Custom lengths available).
Recommended Options
Pole Extensions (Fixed or Mobile):
Essential for this series.
Using extensions allows you to machine through-holes and level out warped heavy plates before machining begins.
Chain/Gang Operation:
Multiple EP75 chucks can be linked together and controlled by a single unit to cover large tables (e.g., 6 meters+).
Useful forย large Gantry machines.
